Im waiting for him to fall asleep so i can take his shoes -David
Thank you for reading my email..... Also the title is something our friend David said right after we said the prayer at the end of a lesson... we don't know what he meant either..... hopefully something in my email makes someone laugh.
Tuesday- had a lesson with our man Elias who is such a good listener, like he doesn't usually have questions because all of it is pretty new to him and he wants to know more. We also had a lesson with our friend Diego who will hopefully be baptized beginning of next year!
Wednesday- had exchanges with Elder Heiner. We knocked some houses and found a couple cool people. We had a member meal with some some member who live in a really cool area and the drive has a ton of hills and on the way home I saw an Elk up on a ridge. I also accidentally ran over a raccoon RIP. Still kinda sad about that poor raccoon. Anyways... we had another lesson with a super nice family.
Thursday- had a zoom and had some appointments cancel. Also had a member meal.
Friday- pulled out some of my best Spanish while tracting, which pretty much includes "hi, how are you, what is your name?, my friends speak lots of Spanish, do you want to talk to them". Also had a lesson with David.
Saturday- did lots of calls and texts. Talked to some less active members that were super nice.
Sunday- did a little service and had a friend come to church. We had the primary program and it was really really really spiritual, we had lots of less active members come because they recognize the spirit that little children singing can bring. Did weekly planning and had a mission zoom.
The verse that I got to share a lot this week is Mathew 22:36-37 which is "36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind"
It truly is so simple. I feel like on the mission and talking with other missionaries and members we get so wrapped up in the "mormon culture" and "deep doctrine" and all this stuff. We forget how simple it could truly be. If things get out of hand then just focus on the small stuff that you know works. I love the talk This is My Gospel by Dale G Renlund and the dynamite analogy of the Gospel.
Thank you for reading my emails! For reading my YAP here's some pictures as a reward!
