Me and my companion have had this running joke for this transfer and last transfer where I'm Shawn and he's Gus. It gets pretty funny sometimes. A lot of stuff happened this week! Here are some highlights! -There was this man we talked to for a while outside his house and then he offered us a tour of his property and he mentioned that it is one of the oldest houses in Thousand Oaks which is really cool. He also kept telling us he was of the devil but was one of the nicest people we talked to all day. -We saw this man across a canal and the road behind it. We called out to him and he said he would talk to us next time he saw us and walked off. We kept on trekking and talking to some other people and on our way back we saw him up the road. We yelled out to him "what about this time?". He then started to walk toward and we started talking and getting to know him. He told us he was suffering from alcoholism and that he really needed God.   Wow what an awesome week! I dont think I have written an email in a couple weeks. Last week our Preparation Day was moved to Thursday and went to the temple that day! Awesome experience. I'ts so hard to remember what happens in the week but I'll some cool things out for yall. -We received a call asking if we could help move some things from an apartment that had taken some water damage. On the way over there my companion remarked how he hates the thought of helping people move and them being hoarders and finding some gross stuff.... well we show up and.... hoarders.... we did have lot of fun though and yes we did go back home and showered before continuing on our day. -We talked to our friend Carolina who was asking the best questions. -We ran into this member who hasn't been to church in a while and he said he knows he needs to come back. -Knocked on another members house and he suffers from not following the Word of Wisdom. I dont think I've written and email for a couple week so here is the greatest email i have ever written! For some reason in California, at least in the areas that i've been in, not a lot of people like to be served. At least the amount i thought i would be doing but last week we had a whole lot of fun laying sod!! We also were experiencing a heat wave last week so it brough me back to Arizona working for ALA in the summer. Shoutout Boston for sticking with me for that job. Last Sunday our friend Wesley was able to meet Elder Takashi Wada (Area President)and President Rodriquez (Mission President) at Stake conference so that was awesome. We had a some of the craziest miracles this Palm Sunday! I'll list them here. -Our friend Brian finally came to church!
