This week was actually awesome! Heres the breakdown.... -Made some Chicken Nuggets -Comp had a CRAZY nosebleed. Scary amount of blood came out of him! -had exchanges with Elder deJong and had the craziest day. Nothing went to plan.  ︎ We had some members wanted us to feed us but couldn't do dinner so they took us out for lunch. Turns out the member works for Call of Duty.  ︎ went to some more members who wanted to feed us but were heading out of town so they sponsored our dinner to Dennys (shoutout the McClouds) ︎ Also some teenaged members (1 of them less active) played some guitar for us for a solid 15 minutes and it will now be my alarm in the morning  , also shared some experiences with them and hope that inspires them to thing about serving.  ︎ Still found 3 people somehow.  -Zone Conference ︎ Talked about a baptismal invitation with an emphasis on going to the temple with we roleplayed.  ︎ Got called up for an object lesson and had to eat some cake an...

Hello! How. Is. It. Going. This is Elder Shumway. Here's my email... This week was a CRAZY week! It's definitely getting a little warm where I'm at. Hopefully I get transferred closer to the coast next transfer. My heart goes out to all the missionaries in hot places. I definitely got nothing to complain about compared to back home as well! Good luck family! Here some things that went down: -had a FIRE lesson with our friends Dani and Tyler. We found them a couple weeks ago but Tyler wasn't really interested until the spirit spoke some WISDOM through us. Now they're thinking of coming to church and making things more stable for their future family. Please pray hard for them.  -Juneteenth was cool. A lot of people weren't home surprisingly... we did meet Ellis tho and he liked what we were doing and told us we can come back.  -Exchanges with Elder Knight. I think every missionary knows when you have Exchanges with a Zone Leader it's gonna be a great day. Well...

Hello Everyone! Welcome back to the life of Elder Shumway through email! We met some cool people this week like Titus and Rhonda. Some members bought us some gas pizza. Then we went and visited some members, specifically the Muirs so we could ask Sister Muir if she wanted to come to a lesson we had. She was able to come to Adele's lesson and we taught tithing as best as we could but sadly didn't make in progress so we gave her a simple invitation that might help.   We went an found some russian speakers and one spoke ONLY RUSSIAN. he looked at our name tags and said "Mormon... good (thumbs up)". Then we got bashed by a Jehovah witness so that was fun. Then we skipped dinner to go dollar tree. On Friday we went finding for a while and didn't find anyone so that was a little discouraging but we keep going. we met a European guy who was one of the most joliest guys i've ever met but was very not interested. interesting contact.  Pictures:

Hey everyone! This week was great! Heres an email.... -our friend named Josepha is awesome and shared how much of a miracle it was that we found her. She was having problems with other people in her church, specifically others not being very modest. Also they were complaining about her bringing her sweet little dog to church (literally one of the most well behaved dogs) -We helped one of our members move out and to flex we moved this man out in an hour and a half. I think it was the shortest move I've ever been apart of.  -It was Elder Kings birthday this week so we bought him a cake Spiritual thought: At Stake Conference this week I heard a quote that goes like "We always remember that the Atonement is true but somehow we forget that it's powerful". I feel like I'm finally understanding what the atonement is and it's so much deeper than I thought it would be.  Love all of yall!

hey yall, heres stuff that happened to me this week! We helped some members move some boxes because they're moving  like ten minutes away into a new house. Got bashed a few times... church is still true Got a call from one of my last companions and he told me he was going home. He wanted to thank me and it was pretty sad.  Went on exchanges with the ZLs and they had this friend that had read the ENTIRE Book of Mormon. Then some members took us out to Shake Shack. Then had an awesome exchange review with Elder Norton. Went tracting in this one complex and no one was interested UNTIL the last 3 doors and we scheduled lessons all on the same day for each of them. We read 3 Nephi 18 with one of our elderly members that tell us to call her Gaga. Her son joined and he's going through his own struggles. At church our friend Yolanda got up and bore her testimony! It was awesome and she gave us a shoutout so that was pretty cool.  After that Gaga also went up a...
