another brotha

I dont think I've written and email for a couple week so here is the greatest email i have ever written!

For some reason in California, at least in the areas that i've been in, not a lot of people like to be served. At least the amount i thought i would be doing but last week we had a whole lot of fun laying sod!! We also were experiencing a heat wave last week so it brough me back to Arizona working for ALA in the summer. Shoutout Boston for sticking with me for that job.

Last Sunday our friend Wesley was able to meet Elder Takashi Wada (Area President)and President Rodriquez (Mission President) at Stake conference so that was awesome.

We had a some of the craziest miracles this Palm Sunday! I'll list them here.

-Our friend Brian finally came to church! He's a member referral that we have been meeting with every week at a members home and had great lessons with.

-Our returning member, Miss Debra, brought her new friend Darnelle to church. Specifically to meet us and Wesley. Darnelle wanted to come back basketball with us on monday but we texted him and he didnt respond and we also didn't pull up. We'll get him though. He's way to chill to give up on just yet.

-Our friend Wesley is really liking church and is progressing super super well. His date is for April 12th.

-A man named Brother Lee came to church on his own accord and a member gave him a tour of the building and then found us. Brother really likes our church and its teaching. Hes been living the Word of Wisdom specifically.

-Our returning member Apple came to church and met with our Bishop. She doesn't ask for help and has the most positive attitude and our Bishop wants to help her find a better living situation.

-Apple also told us she wants us to meet her friend and baptize them.

-There was SOO many people at church! They combined 2 wards for Sacrament meeting and we had to open up the accordian doors in the back and a dozen of the brother stood up to help put more chairs down. There was also only 6 sacrament cups left. That was a great feeling of so many people being able to partake of that ordinance.

We were sitting at a picnic table in a mission zoom last week and there was this small spider that was kinda distracting and i started playing with it. After a few minutes I ended up killing the spider so i can lock in... then i saw another spider... then another spider... then another until i realized there's about 30 small spiders scurrying around this table. We ended up standing for the rest of the zoom meeting and it must have been hatching seasons because we kept seeing more and more and there was probably a lot underneath the table too.

Met this biblical scholar lady who offered to lay hands on us and give us the Holy Spirit so we could speak in tongues.... that was interesting.

One of our members gave us a wolf lamp as a gift'

My companion Elder Colton just about fixed a car in spanish.

We hiked to a really cool waterfall.

We have an event coming up called the Lamb of God and we were worried that we wouldn't be able to get any of our friends to it. However! We've been able to see some miracles and we got like 8 of our friends coming. Our mission actually ran out of tickets for the missionaries to give out so thats good!

Yesterday my companion told me "you know more than you think I think that you know" and I still haven't fully deciphered that but think it's a compliment!

Saw a dog with titanium jaws

A SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
I just read a note that I made in my pocket book and it says "President Christofferson is funny" this note came from listenting to a devotinal where he explains how he had a note on his chair that said "speak slowly, you're being translated". He said this after making a note that the conference was being translated into many languages. When I thought back to this I see how much God wants us to laugh and be joyful. We should also look forward to hearing from our church leaders and also that they are such normal people with a very important mantle. I'm really looking forward to hearing from our church leaders next week at General conference and giving our friends the oppurtunity to hear from prophets of the Lord.
