MTC? more like MT-easy

MTC is such a BLAST! its so spiritual here! i think ive had the most spiritual week ever in my life. I got to be apart of many priesthood blessings this week which helped a lot of people. The way the spirit heals and comforts is indescribable. I pray that you guys allow the spirit into your lives. 


Something i can say off the bat is waking up at 2:45 to catch a plane is NOT FUN. especially when that plane is taking you away from your friends and family for 2 years... anyway MTC is super great. had to try the world famous chocolate milk that is supposedly milked from celestial cows. it was honestly pretty good... but it was pretty much just normal good chocolate milk.

I got to go to the temple this week with my district and that was super fun. i printed out a bunch of family names and was able to go and make covenants they can accept or reject. 

about 4 days ago our district had a meeting with Brother Averrett (one of our branch counselors and super nice man). the next day he went on a 14 MILE BIKE RIDE!! he then had a problem with his heart and wound up in the hospital so please pray for brother Averrett. keep in mind hes probably upwards of 65 this guy.

The cool thing about the MTC if you have a lot of stuff to do but so much time to do it. the days feel long and the weeks feel fast. at the mtc you get 1 hour of excersice time a day and 2 hours for p day. my Companion, Elder Larsen, is really good at basketball so ive been playing a lot of basketball this week.

I think one of the coolest things you can do as a missionary is quote scripture and conference talks so me and my companion have been working on memorizing some and Alma 26:12 is and absolute BAR OF A SCRIPTURE! 

If your one of my friends coming here in the next two months then dont get your hopes up about food. the only amazing thing about it is that theres so much of it and you wont go hungry. but also people kinda over react and its not that bad. 

cant wait to get out to the field and start teaching!

what a week...

Hey yall! We had a week full of ups and downs. God is always out here looking out for us, sending us good times.  Last Monday we had the 1st counselor in the mission presidency come and sit on our district council and he took some time in the beginning to talk to us about straight up oral hygiene. He's a semi-retired dentist and brought us all toothbrushes, floss, and tongue scrapers. I had never used a tongue scraper before and I doubt that I'll ever go back. On Wednesday I had an exchange with one of my Zone Leaders and he changed my perspective on how I treat my companion and how I should go about doing work. We got to find a few people that day and extend 4 baptismal dates to our friends. I pray that they all stick to their commitments. This week we also got to stop by some members who had been going through some tough times the past few months with the Sister having to go through open heart surgery. what happened this week...

hey... everyone.. im here in california... talking about Jesus with everyone.. hope everyone had a great week! yeah but i don't remember what happened this week. i met like a ton of atheists this week... like probably more than my entire mission combined. it's interesting because you get so used to always talking about God and helping people grow their faith but your brain goes blank when you can't really do that. It reminds about how King Lamoni was taught. A little update on teaching side of things. Our friend Matthew is on date for the 16th so please prayer for him. We also have about 4 people we want to invite to be baptized this week.  oh yeah! im also in a trio right now because someone in my district had to get Emergency Transferred and our new companion is a spanish missionary so that means i got to go to spanish ward and i understood about 30% about what was happening so that was cool. today we went on a hike for our district activity and then went to c...

NEW STUFF

So I have been transferred to Conejo Canyon in the Zone of Newbury Park. I have been in this area before on exchanges so it's cool to be back here and we are on bikes half of the time! I am follow up training Elder Feilzer who was trained by my trainer so we are brothers in the mission but also a parent to him. He is funny. Knows a lot but also doesn't. He's good. I did probably smell the most amount of weed I have ever smelt on the mission this week so that was cool... I am also in a apartment with 4 missionaries.
