I sware Santa Claus is real.... Zacharia 2:6
Welcome back to my stream of conciousness! Where every sentence is typed out by yours truly! Everyone buckle up because if grandma got ran over by a reindeer then who knows who they'll go after next!
tuesday- did some service for members in the spanish branch where we cut fruit and raw sugar cane for like an hour. then we called people and see if they wanted to talk about our Lord and Savior. Then knocked some doors, found some people who said that we could come back. then stopped by less active members, no one answered :(
then ate some tamales at the place we did service.
wednesday- opened my beautiful package that was underneath the tree and yes my favorite present was the oreos! then we studied at the church for a while. then went to a members house to call the fam and eat some good food! then went home early and had a christmas zoom meeting
thursday - another zoom meeting. went by a ton of records.
friday- lessons cancel :( ate some in n out.
saturday- went on splits had an amazing lesson. then went and had a lesson in spanish where i just sat and listened.
sunday- gave a talk in church. stopped by our friend David. did some weekly planning. then another zoom meeting where the new missionaries bare their testimony.
today- went grocery shopping. played chair soccer. ate panda express.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT-
first I'd like to apologize for my thought not being Christmas themed....
so i gave a talk in sacrament meeting last Sunday and I'm sure that you all are very sad that you missed me stuttering at the pulpit. And your all probably dying to know what i talked about.
i read a little story from President Monson's talk, The Way of the Master. In the talk he talks about a story of a little boy named Paul. I dont wanna butcher the story so ill try to attach it. But after I relayed the story i read this scripture.
JST Matthew 16:27-29
27 Break not my commandments for to save your lives; for whosoever will save his life in this world, shall lose it in the world to come.
28 And whosoever will lose his life in this world, for my sake, shall find it in the world to come.
29 Therefore, forsake the world, and save your souls; for what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
And then I said this...
When i internalize this question, i think "what would i give to have eternal life. How much would i give. Am i holding back from God. Am i preparing for this "eternal life" that is promised to us? Am I living and acting in such a way that God cant help but be proud of me?". We all came to earth to grow and progress. But are we living in a way that fulfills that?
I hope that I am preparing to meet God. I hope that I can be someone that God is proud of and I hope you are too.
ANYWAYS..... hope everyone is doing well! mission is fun! Hope everyone is having a good life and is enjoying nature and what not.
