Hello everyone! I have been transferred to a new area. I am serving in the Lake View area in the Newbury Park zone.
Also something super crazy happened! Elder Bednar came to the mission and the whole mission met at one building and we had a 3 hour meeting although it felt less than 1 hour. It was pretty interactive and he asked us a lot of questions and helped us a lot with teaching. One thing he made sure that we knew is how much the leaders of the church love us and how much they pray for us. He also took a moment to thank the senior missionaries and told them how worth it is to be serving the Lord.
Someone in my area that I've able to meet is an elderly woman named Gaga. She is wonderful and even though she has had one of the toughest lives i've ever heard she still has a beautiful testimony. We got to give her the sacrament yesterday and before we started she prayed one of the most beautiful prayers i think i've ever heard. Gaga has lots of health problems and has issues getting around. Everyone please pray for her and her situation. Especially with her current living situation.
We also had a couple miracles this week. A couple came to church last week and wanted the missionaries to teach their son. When they came this week they were happy to set up a lesson and they really clicked with the ward and the son seemed very interested in getting his life together and even had a short one on one meeting with our Bishop. Super interesting but things seem to keep going in the right direction.
I had a lot of spiritual experiences this week. Many i feel like i will remember for a long time. Id just like to end with a testimony that God is a God of miracles and we each feel the Spirit differently. The journey back to God is in a way very individual journey. Elder Bednar made it very clear that answers found through our own efforts are the greatest treasures and greatest gifts that God gives us. Knowledge is truly one of the most important things we're here on earth for.
