1 year + I'm Training

apologies for not writing an email last week.


but anyways... we had transfers this thursday and yes... I'm training! and he's literally a good luck charm literally the most crazy miracles have been happening! I'll put a few in this email.

But first I'll give a little update about what happened last week...
-We helped some new move members move into their apartment.
-Learned that our friend who was on date has a Word of Wisdom problem.
-Thats pretty much it...

THIS WEEK
-Had a lesson with some ELECT friends
-had dinner with those new members we moved and turns out they are the best at missionary work!
-An inactive member took us out to his restaurant and hes trying to get back to church
-Then our ward mission leader took us out for dinner at a place called sharky's
-Transfers
-Im training
-took him tracting and we knocked 5 doors and found 3 people (good luck charm)
-Started explaining priesthood authority and used the authority of police officers and how you can put sirens on your car but it doesn't give you authority to pull someone over as a comparison and as i started explaining sirens started to go off and we all stopped talking and listened for a sec.
-We got this refereal from one of our members and we started talking to her and she was kinda just talking over this but my greenie goes "Can I teach you the Plan of Salvation?" she then stopped talking and let us teach and testify.
-We met this guy named Kevin who build Koi ponds for rich people. He had a batman suit and drove a black Corvette. We asked him what he wanted in life and he said to be batman and to be a good catholic.
-Also asked this dude to not smoke in front of us and he apologized.
-There was a homecoming talk in our ward and it was very relateable and may or may not had some "wet eyes"


Spiritual thought- I love miracles. Go look for them!

what a week...

Hey yall! We had a week full of ups and downs. God is always out here looking out for us, sending us good times.  Last Monday we had the 1st counselor in the mission presidency come and sit on our district council and he took some time in the beginning to talk to us about straight up oral hygiene. He's a semi-retired dentist and brought us all toothbrushes, floss, and tongue scrapers. I had never used a tongue scraper before and I doubt that I'll ever go back. On Wednesday I had an exchange with one of my Zone Leaders and he changed my perspective on how I treat my companion and how I should go about doing work. We got to find a few people that day and extend 4 baptismal dates to our friends. I pray that they all stick to their commitments. This week we also got to stop by some members who had been going through some tough times the past few months with the Sister having to go through open heart surgery. what happened this week...

hey... everyone.. im here in california... talking about Jesus with everyone.. hope everyone had a great week! yeah but i don't remember what happened this week. i met like a ton of atheists this week... like probably more than my entire mission combined. it's interesting because you get so used to always talking about God and helping people grow their faith but your brain goes blank when you can't really do that. It reminds about how King Lamoni was taught. A little update on teaching side of things. Our friend Matthew is on date for the 16th so please prayer for him. We also have about 4 people we want to invite to be baptized this week.  oh yeah! im also in a trio right now because someone in my district had to get Emergency Transferred and our new companion is a spanish missionary so that means i got to go to spanish ward and i understood about 30% about what was happening so that was cool. today we went on a hike for our district activity and then went to c...

NEW STUFF

So I have been transferred to Conejo Canyon in the Zone of Newbury Park. I have been in this area before on exchanges so it's cool to be back here and we are on bikes half of the time! I am follow up training Elder Feilzer who was trained by my trainer so we are brothers in the mission but also a parent to him. He is funny. Knows a lot but also doesn't. He's good. I did probably smell the most amount of weed I have ever smelt on the mission this week so that was cool... I am also in a apartment with 4 missionaries.
