Airplanes
What do people even write in these intros? I'm out of ideas but here's what happened this week!
-Ate quesidillas at the place called quesidilla Gorilla. It was pretty good. Shoutout Boston Beaudette for making me quesidillas during high school cause those were better.
-stopped by a ton of referrals this week. No one was super elect but we just got a referral yesterday that's actually pretty chill.
-One of our members started talking to us about how there's this big... thing that's coming to us from space. Interesting.
-Helped a couple that has some special needs move apartments. They were only moving 2 apartments down so it was pretty easy.
-had exchanges and Elder Johnson made me some really awesome food! Met this kid named RK who we joked that since he doesn't like coffee he should be apart if the church. Then he said.... "maybe". Then after, got a cool picture of the sunset.
-Had interviews with our mission President. We had a discussion with our zone about temple Covenants because we're going to the temple this next week.
-After interviews an inactive member texted us randomly and said he wanted to take us out to dinner so we went to where he worked. He talked us for a bit and told us about how he's a convert and how he wants to come back to church. He then had to work his shift but he came out a few more times to talk to us. We also talked to this waiter who was young college guy who thought what we believed was really interesting. We taught him a lot about prophets and it was perfect with general conference going on.
-WARNING THIS MIGHT BE A LONG STORY: So one of our mission rules for conference was that we could watch the morning sessions no matter what but for the other sessions we needed to either be watching it with our friends or less active members. We had friends and everything figured out but I'm sure every missionary knows how flaky our friends can be..... so here we were at the Saturday afternoon session with chairs set up and snacks for conference.... no one comes....*sigh*... so like good missionaries that we are we went looking for some friends that we could watch conference with. We call our friend Bruce who was there when we watched the morning session. When we were heading over to his house he sent us a text, telling us not to come over.... welp... we just start driving for maybe 15 minutes. We pull off to the side of the rode and start looking at some lists of people and I come across a member record named Christopher. Okay now keep that in mind... on the other side of the street is a woman who's about to walk into her house. Elder Murset says we should talk to her and jumps out of the car! When I catch up he's already contacting her and we just start teaching her and asking about her life. She tells us she's been looking for direction in life cause she doesn't know where to go..... PERFECT.... we start talking about conference and we sat right there on the curb and watched a whole talk with her and then talked about it! WHAT A MIRACLE!....... OKAY now remember Christopher earlier. We drive to his house and talk to him. We end up inviting him to come watch the evening session with us and he came!!! So yeah cool conference miracle! We also watched some over the Sunday afternoon session with Christopher as well. He told us he had over 2000+ digits of PI memorized. He had us quiz him for the first 100 digits.
-Elder Murset is teaching me hand stands
Anyways my favorite talk was President Hollands. Very good talk.
